Saucy Fish – one of the most exciting brands of the decade

Here at Saucy, we’re really proud of our award winning packaging and brand. And we’ve just been given the ultimate seal of approval from the food experts over at leading food industry magazine – The Grocer, as they have dubbed Saucy Fish as one of the most exciting brands of the decade for ‘taking the fear out of fish’, in their History of Brands bible, out this week.

The article looks back at those iconic brands and the memorable packaging which appeared on supermarket shelves from as early as 1860. Who can forget Marathon Bars (today known as Snickers), Pepsi Cola which used to come in glass bottles, and the classic Heinz Tomato Soup can – which has remained largely unchanged since its design back in 1910. And there are the brands that you might have forgotten about, but there’s no denying their iconic quality – Lux Laundry soap, and Spangles boiled sweets to name just a couple.

And with Saucy making the top seven food brands in the 2010s category, alongside the likes of other fantastic new businesses such as Kabuto Noodles, YooMoo and Metcalfe’s Skinny Popcorn – we are certainly in good company.

Check out the piece below to see which other new brands emerging in this decade are getting the food experts over at The Grocer excited:
